Introduction

Togiak Management Services, LLC (TMS) is a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) owned company specializing in Federal Government contracting delivering innovative and comprehensive business management and technology solutions. TMS is 100% owned by Togiak Natives, Ltd, (TNL) representing the Village of Togiak as established by Congress under terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971.

Togiak is one of 21 villages in the Bristol Bay region located approximately 67 air miles southwest of Dillingham, Alaska. It is home to nearly 1,000 shareholders of TNL and numerous non-shareholders, whose median age is 24.2 years old. The people of Togiak continue the ways of their ancestors by living a subsistence lifestyle and maintain their cultural beliefs.

SOLE SOURCE REGULATIONS:

  • 13 CFR 124.506(b) states that Indian tribal 8(a)s are exempt from competitive thresholds of $4 million for all service contracts and $7 million for manufacturing contracts.

  • FAR 19.805-1(b)(2) SBA accepts requirement on behalf of concern owned by an Indian tribe or an Alaska Native Corporation.

  • 13 CFR 124.517(a) Award cannot be protested.
